How to transfer music on iPod / iOS from Ubuntu Linux

floola logoiPod is most poular device for listening music. I have 8gb iPod nano. Currently, I am using Ubuntu 11.10. Unfortunately itunes is available for Windows and Mac only but not for Ubuntu (Linux) systems. Without iTunes you cannot send music and videos to your idevices like iphone, ipod, itune etc. There is a tiny app for transferring music from your computer into your iPod or iOS based device which acts as alternative to itunes.
Floola is free software we can use to transfer music, videos from Linux to iOS device. You can download Floola from here for your Ubuntu Linux Machine.

After download is completed, extract the downloaded folder. I have download in my Download folder.

cd /home/user/Download

Extract downloaded file using this command.

tar -zxvf  Floola-linux.tar.gz

You will see Floola. Now make it executable using following command

chmod +x Floola

Now simple execute Floola and start adding music files from file menu.

Foola is a great alternative to iTunes, with foola you don’t need to install itunes in Ubuntu or linux. If you are looking to make Apple ID with out credit card then follow our previous post : Create Apple ID without credit card
