People who are in Nepal are familiar with Avenues television and Media Hub Pvt Ltd. Media Hub Pvt Ltd. have bought the right to broadcast FIFA worldcup 2010 matches (board casted on ATV and NTV) , to maximize their profit they choose the unethical way by banning foreign channels that broadcast FIFA worldcup matches. With the help of  Cable TV Network Association Nepal and Avenues Television they have banned foreign sport channel without permission of government. The sound of vuvuzela is not minimized. They are forcing consumers to consume their product even it is not of standard quality.

They didn’t even back downed to give false information that, if cable network broadcast foreign sports channel they will face legal consequences. No one will face any legal consequences if they ( cable operator) broadcast foreign channel , as these channels are banned by Pvt company i.e Media Hub not government .  This doesn’t fall under protectionism policy as this ban is not made by government . They do have right to broadcast FIFA worldcup match but they don’t have right to ban other channels just to earn more profit killing competition.  Just like they have bought right to broadcast FIFA matches, foreign channels also have bought the right to broadcast these matches.Consumers have right to choose which product to consume , private companies don’t have right to force consumer what to consume.
